U.S. envoy for Iran Rob Malley told reporters in a conference call the Biden administration is discussing with its partners in the Middle East & Europe a set of steps that could be taken against Iran if the Islamic Republic doesn't go back soon to the Vienna nuclear talks
U.S. Iran envoy Malley: "We have given a lot of thought to what we will do if Iran doesn't go back to the table. We will have various ways to address that and this is what we talked about with our partners. We have ideas and we discussed them with our partners"
Malley refused to answer several times what kind of steps the U.S. could take but said "We will use other tools to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon". hHe said that in the coming days and weeks there will be more intense diplomacy over the Iranian issue.
