CETNCOM: U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) completed the latest wave of strikes against Iran at 10:15 p.m. ET on July 13. During the five-hour mission, U.S. forces successfully struck military targets across Iran including Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas to further degrade Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping. CENTCOM forces employed precision munitions against Iranian coastal defense systems, missile and drone sites, and maritime capabilities.
According to eyewitnesses, several missiles were launched towards Kermanshah, and loud explosions were heard simultaneously with the missile launches.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated: Hours ago, US forces, failing to learn from repeated defeats, attempted to force several ships to transit an illegal route. Two oil tankers fell victim to this American deception. By switching off their navigation systems and ignoring repeated warnings from the Strait of Hormuz Security Control Center, they endangered maritime traffic in the Strait and opted for a controlled route. They were subsequently bombed and rendered inoperable. The IRGC Navy declares that cooperating with the aggressor, who comes from thousands of kilometers away to violate the rights of the region's inhabitants, and attempting to use the controlled route, will only lead to regret, losses, delays in reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and a global energy crisis.
