CENTCOM:At 3 p.m. ET today, U.S. Central Command forces began launching an additional round of strikes against Iran to continue degrading Iranian capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The strikes are taking place as American forces prepare to resume the naval blockade against Iranian ports and coastal areas. The blockade goes into effect at 4 p.m. ET
The Kuwaiti Army: Since this evening, the armed forces have detected 1 ballistic missile, 5 cruise missiles, and 33 drones, all of which were intercepted and dealt with. The heinous Iranian aggression targeted several vital and civilian facilities, with debris falling in various locations across the country, causing material damage. A Kuwaiti naval vessel was also targeted, resulting in injuries to 4 members of the armed forces. They received the necessary medical care and treatment, and their condition is stable.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) addresses the brave and steadfast Iranian people: In the third phase of Operation "Victory 2," under the banner of "Ya Zayn al-Abidin" (peace be upon him), and in honor of the nation, the IRGC Aerospace Force destroyed several weapons depots, ship parts, and aircraft at the Sheikh Isa base in Bahrain in a simultaneous missile and drone strike hours ago. They also attacked the MQ-9 drone launch platform at the Ali al-Salem base in Kuwait, destroying or damaging several aircraft. The retaliation and punishment of aggressors will continue as long as America's crimes persist, and if these attacks are repeated, they will face unexpected responses. As long as America's evil deeds in the region continue, not a single drop of oil or gas will be exported from the region, and these transgressions will only delay the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) prohibits aircraft operators from operating within the airspace of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, or the airspace over the waters of the Gulf of Oman.
ADNOC Logistics & Services: We confirm that in the early hours of Tuesday, the oil tankers Al Bahia and Mombasa B were attacked with projectiles while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
CETNCOM: U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) completed the latest wave of strikes against Iran at 10:15 p.m. ET on July 13. During the five-hour mission, U.S. forces successfully struck military targets across Iran including Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas to further degrade Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping. CENTCOM forces employed precision munitions against Iranian coastal defense systems, missile and drone sites, and maritime capabilities.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated: Hours ago, US forces, failing to learn from repeated defeats, attempted to force several ships to transit an illegal route. Two oil tankers fell victim to this American deception. By switching off their navigation systems and ignoring repeated warnings from the Strait of Hormuz Security Control Center, they endangered maritime traffic in the Strait and opted for a controlled route. They were subsequently bombed and rendered inoperable. The IRGC Navy declares that cooperating with the aggressor, who comes from thousands of kilometers away to violate the rights of the region's inhabitants, and attempting to use the controlled route, will only lead to regret, losses, delays in reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and a global energy crisis.
Mehr News Agency, quoting an official in Iran's Khuzestan province, reported that four people were injured in US attacks on areas in the city of Omidiyeh in southwestern Iran.
Axios: US President Donald Trump backed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman before Saudi Arabia launched strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen. These strikes followed Saudi concerns that an Iranian aircraft, apparently carrying weapons and military personnel to the Houthis, had targeted Sanaa airport. The Houthis responded by launching missiles and drones targeting Saudi Arabia.
CENTCOM:At 4:45 p.m. ET today, U.S. Central Command began launching the third consecutive night of strikes against Iran, at the Commander in Chief's direction. These strikes will continue imposing a heavy cost on Iranian forces and degrade their ability to attack civilians and commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz
The Iranian army: We targeted US military communications systems, fuel tanks, a Patriot missile system, and an observation tower in Kuwait with drones.
The U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi and U.S. Consulate General in Dubai have canceled consular appointments from July 13 – 15 due to the regional security situation
Houthis Brigadier General Yahya Saree: By its reckless decision to attack Sana'a airport, the Saudi bears full responsibility for the dire consequences of this brutal aggression.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi: POTUS is absolutely right. Whoever provides secure and safe passage of commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz should be compensated for this service. Iran has always been the GUARDIAN of the Strait and will remain so FOREVER. 20% is of course too much. We will be fair
Trump formally notified Congress of the resumption of military activities against Iran on July 10 under the war powers resolution. Dems say the war is illegal and the president cannot restart the 60-day clock for military action
Trump about Mojtaba Khamenei: The Son is 90% gone. Here is the entire quote as per the pool report: "Their leaders have all been killed. The best leaders have been killed. They're gone. Khomeini (ph) is gone. The son is 90 percent gone"
Trump says the U.S. is reinstating the blockade on Iran. He says America will become the "Guardian of the Hormuz Strait" and charge 20% on all cargo shipped through it
Advisor to the Iranian Supreme Leader: Iran is defending the Strait so that it will not have to make concessions to the in the future to ensure the passage of its ships through it.
