In the agreement suggested by Shamkhani, Iran would commit to never making nuclear weapons, get rid of its stockpiles of highly-enriched uranium, agree to only enrich uranium to the lower levels needed for civil energy, and allow inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to supervise the process, in exchange for an immediate lifting of all economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. on Iran
